- Registries, registrars and ICANN as required to register and manage domains. With WHOIS privacy enabled, your details are replaced by proxy information in public directories, but registries and ICANN may still receive them.

- Advertising partners: we may use cookies that allow partners to show you our ads on other sites. Under some state laws this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal data, or "targeted advertising". You can opt out as described in Section 8.
4A. Payment Processors
When you pay us, your payment information is processed by our bank card payment processor or PayPal These processors act as our service providers for processing your payment and, for certain purposes such as fraud prevention, regulatory compliance and operating their own networks, as independent controllers under their own privacy policies (including paypal.com/privacy).
To help prevent fraud, our card payment processor may collect device and browser information through its scripts on our checkout pages, and both processors may share risk signals with us. We use this information only to process payments, prevent fraud and handle refunds and disputes, including sharing order records with your bank or the processor when you dispute a charge.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting and ICANN obligations (ICANN generally requires registrars to retain certain registration data for two years after a domain's registration ends), resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Backups of hosting data are deleted on a rolling schedule after account closure.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive data, access controls, multi-factor authentication for staff, network monitoring and regular security testing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
If a breach of security affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and regulators as required by law, including the Delaware data breach notification statute (6 Del. C. § 12B-101 et seq.), which generally requires notice within 60 days of determining that a breach occurred.
